Upgrading OpenVPN on ASUS RT-AC66U

0

I want to install and run OpenVPN on my home router but the OpenVPN server I'm using requires version 2.3.3 (for TLS reasons) and my router only has 2.3.2. I can telnet in to the router as root but many common commands are missing (it's running BusyBox). How could I upgrade OpenVPN on the router or is it not worth the risk?

Linux version 2.6.22.19 (root@asus) (gcc version 4.2.3) #1 Fri Apr 27

  • If Asus haven't provided updated firmware with a newer OpenVPN then you may be out of luck.
