Trying to restart apache using Vagrant - “The apache2 configtest failed”

I have setup Vagrant (details below) and am just trying to start Apache so that I can get to a point that I can actually see a site in a browser, however when using sudo service apache2 start, I receive the error message below:



 * Restarting web server apache2                                                                                             [fail]
* The apache2 configtest failed.
Output of config test was:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 156 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:
Invalid command 'Require', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
Action 'configtest' failed.
The Apache error log may have more information.


I have looked at the log, and it is empty. Any ideas what might be going wrong here?

I have setup Vagrant (details below) and am just trying to start Apache so that I can get to a point that I can actually see a site in a browser, however when using sudo service apache2 start, I receive the error message below:



 * Restarting web server apache2                                                                                             [fail]
* The apache2 configtest failed.
Output of config test was:
AH00526: Syntax error on line 156 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf:
Invalid command 'Require', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
Action 'configtest' failed.
The Apache error log may have more information.


I have looked at the log, and it is empty. Any ideas what might be going wrong here?
