Parrot Security: Failed to Create a File System

0

I'm trying to install Parrot Security 4.5.1 on my Dell laptop. I've written the ISO file to a flashdrive, and set my laptop to boot to the USB. I've been following this tutorial as a guide for my install:

https://www.tecmint.com/parrot-security-os-penetration-testing-hacking-and-anonymity/

However, once I reach the "Partition Disks" section of the install, I've run into problems. I reach the following error:

Failed to create a file system: The xfs file system creation in partition #1 of SCSI1 (0,0,0) failed.

I'm not sure where to go from here, since I've even followed the guided partitioning recommended for new users in the installation wizard.

I've checked the hash of the ISO file I'm booting from USB:

My MD5 Hash: 955c6aea938fe0f0d89486bb2823b1bb

and it doesn't match the hash for this version from parrotsec.org

Parrot's Hash: b792524f4a2dbb8d8712c67f78fd9f52

Could this be the issue? Thanks!
