-1

I am trying to install Ubuntu on my drive as a second operating system, so I setup my usb drive to be bootable so I can install linux. Now I got boot error message and I can not start windows or access bios, I tried functions keys but it keep restarting and go back to the same message.

Tried turn off the laptop and unplug everything, but nothing works.

  • Installing ubuntu will not lock you out your BIOS. You can google for your laptop's setup hotkey. If you can't find the right hotkey then it then try F1 F2 and Delete (NOT backspace). Press the on button and as soon as the laptop fires up hammer all three of these repeatedly until the BIOS screen comes up. When you get into your BIOS check the operating system boot order. Have you tried plugging the USB back in?

  • By the way, to be able to actually answer your question we need way more information. Things like the exact text seen on screen and as much as you can remember about your setup (where you installed to, what partitions did you make).
