Getting two lines after the column vector after running the following code
begin{equation}
begin{split}
Qtextbf{x}=lambda_ntextbf{x}\
implies
left[
begin{array}{c|c}
{((n-2)I+J)}_{ltimes l} & J_{ltimes n-l} \
hline
J^T_{(n-l)times l} & A_{(n-l)times (n-l) }
end{array}right]
left [begin{array}{c|c} x_1\x_2\x_3\dots\dots\x_nend{array}right]
=lambda_ntextbf{x}
end{split}
end{equation}
My problem is I am getting two lines at the end of the column vector $x$ after running the above code.
Can someone tell me what to do to get rid of it?

Welcome to TeX-SE! You do not have these empty lines shown in the above code in theequation
environment, do you?
