Format mySQL table to HTML
I am trying to display the below mySQL table into HTML using PHP.
The table contents are
mysql> select * from vmware;
+----+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+
| id | XYZ | vsphere51 | vsphere55 | vsphere60 | vsphere65 | vsphere67 |
+----+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+
| 1 | XYZ1 | 1 | 1 | NULL | NULL | NULL |
| 2 | XYZ2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | NULL | NULL |
| 3 | XYZ3 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | NULL |
| 4 | XYZ4 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | NULL |
| 5 | XYZ5 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | NULL |
| 6 | XYZ6 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | NULL |
| 7 | XYZ7 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
+----+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+-----------+
The code I have is:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title> VMware Matrix </title>
</head>
<body>
<?php
$conn = mysqli_connect("localhost", "root", "password", "matrix");
// did we connected?
if (!$conn) {
echo "Error: Unable to connect to MySQL." . PHP_EOL;
echo "Debugging errno: " . mysqli_connect_errno() . PHP_EOL;
echo "Debugging error: " . mysqli_connect_error() . PHP_EOL;
exit;
}
// runquery
$query = mysqli_query($conn, "SELECT * FROM vmware");
$results = mysqli_query($conn, $query);
echo '<table class="table table-striped table-bordered table-hover">';
echo "<tr><th>XYZ</th><th>vsphere51</th><th>vsphere55</th><th>vsphere60</th><th>vsphere65</th><th>vsphere67</th></tr>";

Kinda Figured it out:
$query = "SELECT * FROM vmware";
Can we make it like a table with all the lines in between the fields, like the mySQL select output?
