Docks (Docky, Plank) are visible when I fullscreen an app or a video (Linux Mint)

I have my dock set to no hiding so it acts like a taskbar or like Mac OS. But when I do this, in fullscreen mode on chrome or any other app the dock is still visible and clickable. I don't know what to edit to make it not visible in fullscreen mode on Linux mint. I've tried both docky and plank and they both show up.
