Set custom keyboard shortcuts for keyboard layout change by CLI in Cinnamon (Linux Mint)

0

Setting for set custom keyboard shortcuts via CLI does not fully work on Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.1. Here is what I've done to investigate:

1) Added custom via GUI, assign Ctrl+Alt+z, it shows as Ctrl+Alt+Z in GUI and ~$ gsettings get org.cinnamon.desktop.keybindings.custom-keybinding:/org/cinnamon/desktop/keybindings/custom-keybindings/custom0/ binding gives ['<Primary><Alt>z'] and it works, app getting started.

2) Deleted assignment in GUI and run ~$ gsettings get org.cinnamon.desktop.keybindings.custom-keybinding:/org/cinnamon/desktop/keybindings/custom-keybindings/custom0/ binding gives @as

3) Run gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.keybindings.custom-keybinding:/org/cinnamon/desktop/keybindings/custom-keybindings/custom0/ binding "['<Primary><Alt>z']", then I see assignment in GUI as Ctrl+Alt+Z again, but the shortcut does not work!

Why it does not work and/or what can I do to investigate further?

P.S. Cinnamon specifics for gsettings taken from https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1171, overall approach from
