Zsh: slow when run bash shell script
I have a script that written completely with bash compatible in mind, that used with dmenu to handle a task.
I use zsh as default shell, in that script I have shebang like #!/usr/bin/env bash
, dmenu invoke the script to do task pretty fast, but when I change interpreter to use origin zsh like below:
#!/usr/bin/env zsh
emulate -L zsh
comparing visual when surf through task in dmenu, I can see visual delay when use zsh as interpreter than bash. This struck me because I'm trying to migrate completely from bash/sh to zsh (zsh supports better for writing shell scripts imho)
shell-script command-line zsh dmenu
