how can I identify specific string in bash or text editor
I am trying to understand how I can find specific string in sublime
for example is there a website that I can find which character I should use to identify the following string.
as an example I have 100 of the following lines, I want to remove the paranthase and whatever is in it.
sp|Q79874-2|Milik_HUMAN(1435-1468) This is just an example
sp|Q7987y-1|Milik_MOUSE(1444-10000) This is just an example
sp|QQQQQf-2|Milil_HUMAN(14428-1477) This is just an example
I want to be able to recognize the paranthase and whatever is in it to convert it to
sp|Q79874-2|Milil_Human This is just an example
sp|Q7987y-1|Milik_MOUSE This is just an example2
sp|QQQQQf-2|Milil_HUMAN This is just an example3

What is sublime? Sublime Text? Then why the bash tag? I don't know "sublime", but probably you want to search for a tutorial on regular expressions.
