Does kernel downgrade deletes the data?
I have mistakenly turned off my system during an upgrade. After that It was not letting me in and was showing black screen. To resolve this I tried multiple solutions i.e. trying to install linux on the top of current image, not a fresh install. 2nd I opened grub, went to advance option selected redhat 7.5 recovery option. And then after a while it asked me to create a new root password. Now I don't see any other user in my system and I don't know where I can see my data. Did I loose it or its still there. If it is there, how can I get it back?
Before this mess happened... Redhat 7.6 was there.

@炸鱼薯条德里克, no, I'm able to login with root credentials which I have created. But not sure about the data.
