Set order of sound cards when BOTH use the same driver?
I have the problem where my two sound cards boot in random order, which defeats all efforts at configuring the sound in a way that would work every time. I have seen solutions that rely on a configuration file in /etc/modprobe.d/ to assign indexes to the cards' drivers. However all these solutions assume that the cards use different drivers. In my case both cards use the same driver: snd_hda_intel
. How can I specify the default (or "first") sound card in this case?
