Creating calendar files in CentOS7 [on hold]

I'm attempting to create 3 text files that display last, current and next month. I'm not having any luck besides a lot of articles that explain different ways to use the cal command and print to the screen. I haven't progressed far enough to know the entire syntax of how to do it, but I remember stumbling across it about a year ago in my searches.

man cal tells you that cal -3 "Display prev/current/next month output." Is this the output you want? Or something else? It may help to edit your question to provide example output if cal -3 isn't what you want.
