Which is the standard for the position of the source in figure captions?

0

Since my university gives no rules about that, I'm following the standard caption positioning: on top for tables, bottom for figures.

If I have a source for a table I write it as a table note, but I don't know where to position the source of a figure, to make it consistent with tables.

Which is the standard (if there is one) for source positioning in figure captions?
