Is there any other way than symlink and hardlink to link files in Linux

Instead of copy files from a directory to another directory. The file contents should change, if files that exist in another directory contents are changed.

0 I have a Multi-Boot-System with 4 different installations of Linux. (1 Manjaro, 3 Mint) spread over 2 hard drives (2 on each).
