TeXnicCenter not counting correct page number

On my newer computer I have all of the MikTeX distribution fullly updated and my codes are being correctly read but the Output window is not showing the correct number of pages. For example
show 0 pages
but the pdf outputs:
5 pages?????
Why is this happening?

I guess you see the pdf file created with an earlier compile run? Check the date of the pdf file and your log file. They are different? My guess was right! They are the same? Show the log file ...
