Proprietary NVIDIA driver install on Void Linux

I have a Lenovo Z580, and tried installing the non-free drivers using the instructions from the Void Linux wiki .
The moment I create the Xorg.conf file and restart, I no longer see the display manager and can no longer start X. the screen goes black, and keeps jumping to VT7 every few seconds so I have to keep CTRL-ALT-1-ing and typing whatever I can (usually sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf) before it jumps away again.
lspci -k | grep -A 2 -i "VGA"
outputs this:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
Subsystem: Lenovo Device 3902
Kernel driver in use: i915
--
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF108M [GeForce GT 620M/630M/635M/640M LE] (rev a1)
Subsystem: Lenovo Device 3902
Kernel modules: nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidia
My Xorg log is here at : https://pastebin.com/vXkGzQiB
Essentially, any kind of xorg.conf causes the same error, and it goes away as soon as the file does.
I need to get my NVIDIA configured. How do I use optimus (via optirun or some such) or straight-up permanently-on as Arch does with nvidia-xrun ?
nvidia optimus void-linux
