Texmaker 5.0.2 forward/backward search

I recently installed Texmaker 5.0.2 (I use Windows 10) but the "forward / backward search" is not working. I thought the forward/backward search feature should already be working by default. I just installed and did not customize any settings.
I did not find anything on google specifically about "forward / backward search" in Texmaker 5.0.2

I think that the "forward Backward" search is something of the "Find" (cntrl-F) possibility (image from Windows 7):

@MathOverview 17 days later I would guess by now you have resolved this since your right to say by default it should be working!
If not take a look at my answer to Wrong placement of Cursor Position there the answer was a rogue .synctex.gz however if you follow the links therein you will find other common reasons for synctex to not be working such as "path names" and Àccented characters
