.cls file can´t be installed manually in MiKTeX
Well I have read previous questions regarding this, but no one seems to give a proper response.
I have a .cls file build by somebody that I need to use. So, according to revious posts I have read here enter link description here I should put it inside a texmf folder inside MiKTeX. I have Windows and MiKTeX 2.9, but cannot find any texmf folder.
Where should I put this .cls file and how to run it?
miktex texmf

You can also put it in the same folder as your document.

Just put the file in your working directory next to your tex file. Or do you need to use this class often?

If you want to install it in a texmf folder so that it can be found from various documents, create a folder structure (outside miktex) called mytexmftexlatexmyclass. Put your class in the myclass folder, and then add the rootmytexmf
in miktex settings or the new miktex console as a new root. You can freely choose the namemytexmf
.
