Footnote superscripts shown as 'c0'

0

The superscripts of all footnotes in my document are shown as a 'c0' symbol, instead of shown as bracketed 1,2,3... The issue just came up recently, but the same script never have this issue before. I have no idea what change I made has messed something up.

To have an idea what's happening, a screenshot of my document is like:

The source code for generating this section of my document is given here:

Assume that the flow is Newtonianfootnote{From Geodynamics lecture notes}, then
begin{equation}
sigma = 2muepsilon - pI
end{equation}
where
begin{equation}
epsilon = frac{1}{2}[nablavec{u} + (nablavec{u})^T].
end{equation}

subparagraph{Derive the continuity equation appropriate to an incompressible fluid}

The Navier-Stokes equation describes the conservation of momentum for a fluid in the gravity field

    You have not provided enough detail to solve the issue, since it cannot be replicated with the code you're showing.

  • Without a complete MWE, i.e. a document that starts with documentclass and ends with end{document} one can only guess. And the guesses may be as helpful as horoscopes.
