Line endings with “^^M” from Win and Mac to Linux

I wrote some code on Windows via VS Code, synced on Github, and tested on Mac and Linux. On Mac, everything is fine; while on Linux, it says:



l.55 usetheme

              {metropolis}%^^M

No pages of output.


I think this is caused by the difference of line endings between OSes, but cannot find a solution.



PS: For the VS Codes on all platforms (Win, Mac, Linux), the value of Files.Eol is set to n.
