I am trying to install some updates for my ubuntu machine, and I am successfully able to access the internet with a strong wifi connection, but when I try and install the updates it says there is no internet connection.

Is there any command I can run to get past this? Thanks in advance.

Please edit the question to limit it to a specific problem with enough detail to identify an adequate answer. Avoid asking multiple distinct questions at once. See the How to Ask page for help clarifying this question. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

  • Welcome to Unix & Linux! ;-) Could you please go to a terminal and type sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade, then edit your question and provide the output because as it currently stands, your question is too broad to answer... :-(
