How do I prevent picture overlap using wrapfig?

In the MWE below, if

  • a figure is floated directly under the paragraph next to a wrapfig AND

  • the wrapped figure extends passed its adjacent paragraph,

part of the wrapped figure is obscured and the second paragraph has a strange right margin. How do I prevent this?

I'm looking to either

  • start the second paragraph and tell LaTeX to position the figure after paragraph 2 OR

  • Force a break in paragraph 2 for Figure 2 such that the empty space created by the wrapped figure is filled.

Thanks!

documentclass[letterpaper, 12pt]{article}
usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
usepackage{graphicx, wrapfig, float}
usepackage{lipsum}
usepackage{geometry}
geometry{margin=0.8in}

begin{document}

begin{wrapfigure}{R}{0.35linewidth}
centering
includegraphics[width=linewidth]{genInstrs.png}
caption{Hello there. Here is some text without meaning.}
end{wrapfigure}

lipsum[1]

begin{figure}[!htbp]
centering
includegraphics[height=0.25textheight]{wolframZTrans.png}
caption{Caption}
end{figure}

lipsum[5]

end{document}
