Need to install on /dev/sdb/, but it does not exist?

I am trying to install GlusterFS on /dev/sdb/ (https://www.itzgeek.com/how-tos/linux/ubuntu-how-tos/install-and-configure-glusterfs-on-ubuntu-16-04-debian-8.html), but I do not see it in my system. Is that location something that needs to be added?
