Why doesn't 'sourcing' my .zshrc file change my aliases?

0

In my .zshrc file (as a oh-my-zsh user within a gnome DE on an Archlinux OS), I have the line:

alias ls='ls -c --color=never'

After I enter:source .zshrc

The command alias ls outputs ls='ls --color=tty'
This happens even after closing my zsh terminal and reopening it.

I don't ever recall setting this current alias either, so I'm assuming that something takes precedence over my zshrc file, perhaps?
